So today I picked up $500 in machine wrapped dimes from the bank, now keep in mind I found 2 silver dimes in my last 250 box. I had 5 silver dimes in my collection this morning (after easily $5000 in dimes searched). When I busted open the first roll, it had 3 silvers in it right off the bat. I'm psyched, and the next roll has 3 more. The next roll had one. I also had a sweet roll that had 3 silvers right next to each other for a fat spot of silver in the roll. I just finished going through the first $250, and I got 25 silver dimes total from the box, or half a roll of solid silver dimes. Melt value of $71 according to coinflation.com. Hopefully the next box is a sweet score as well. Just wanted to share with the group. I thought a sweet score like this would cure my silver fever, but it just got like 100x worse.
After searching the second $250 box, I pulled 10 more silver dimes. One of them is a 1964-D in fantastic shiny new condition, and it doesn't look like it's been cleaned. So with two boxes, my collection of silver rosie dimes went from 5 to 40. Not too shabby. I'm gonna be all over the rest of those dimes at the bank tomorrow morning, they are loaded with silver.
