1931 australian penny.

    i have a 1931 australian penny, i have heard they are extremely rare, but i'm new to collecting coins, so can anyone help me out?

    With a mintage of 494,400 your coin could be valuable but, as is the case with most coins, value is dependant on condition. You should take your coin to a trusted coin dealer for an estimate of value or send the coin to a respected grading service and have the coin 1) authenticated and 2) graded.

    Oh, and one more thing:

    DO NOT CLEAN YOUR COIN!!
