Queen Anne facing left on obverse says ANNA DEI on the left side of her image GRATIA on the right side and behind her. The word GRATIA has the most doubling I have ever seen. The reverse has quite of bit of writting with the 17 top left and 08 at top left. I has a crowned big 4. I have searched the net for an answer to no avail other than it says it does not exist. The coin also is a little broadstruck. Coulld it be a counterfeit and if so it could worth a great deal or could it be a mint error where they pucnhed a 4 instead of a 3. Sure need so help on this one. Thank you, Doug whiskers.777@hotmail.com

Thank you so much. The value of the coin from what you said is not very much but being that it is a mint error because of being so old and broadstruck surely it could be worth a considerable amount. What do you think? Doug

They didn't use a close collar on those so they would all be a little "broadstruck". So it may not be a mint error. Also minor errors on early coins aren't usually that rare. Back then it was mostly weight that the mints really cared about.
