My sentiments exactly. But I still love the Indian Head cents that replaced them, and in fact IHCs were among my favorite coins when I was starting out in the '60s.
I almost said something similar to that. I too love Indian Cents, maybe they could've waited to 1870 to end FECs?
I've got one for my type set. 1858 Small Letters/MS-64 Just looked at my image of it and it's now on my re-image list. I've improved my technique but that means redoing a lot of my coins. I think I've imaged some of my coins 3-4 times already. This gets VERY tiring.
yea they are very beautiful coins and the Dansco Indian Head Cent Album is my favorite one out of all my collection, i think they should make the lincoln cents with a eagle back or with the IHC back just for the look.
I've got several, but they aint no MS-64 thats for sure. I like the design but the folks back then thought it resembled a buzzard and so came the public outcry to get rid of it. To bad we can't do that today, it would be non-stop...
I've got one. An 1857 if I remember correctly. DDO too! Very nice variety that I picked up at a coin show earlier this summer. I always wanted one really bad, so I was happy to get a good deal on one.
