Lamination

    Two bucks and a half then unless he glues it back on. If he glues it back on it will still show on the coin as a lamination. There are a lot of laminations that are still stuck on. Conservative estimates are between 55-65% of those are glued back on, although the real number could be much higher, we just don't know.

    But it's his coin, his choice. That's in the Constitution.

    The flap of metal is called a lame. Having the flap there is a lamination. De-lamination would be the removal of a lame.

    I'm in agreement with part of your explanation. The flap of metal is referred to as a lame. However, the process of attaching layers of lames together is lamination. When a lame or multiple layers of lames begin to separate it is then a de-lamination. If the lame is completely missing from the lamination it would become a detached de-lamination.
