Nice, all 1933 halves were minted in San Francisco that year :thumb:

I like the historical significance of the 1933-s. Seems like a nice date to me. I got it for $15 flat, and it's a solid VF.

Beautiful! How'd you get them? I can't image you pulled them from circulation.

    Nice Finds!!

I believe you've located some nice "treasures" in your Walking Liberty and VG Barber. Yes, a good buy for a WL, of which in posted condition, I can provide EF "comps" by top tier TPG.

    Keep Searching!! Rich

My local shop holds any Barber half in F-XF for me. They know my tastes :)

I slightly overpaid for the Barber. I wasn't worried about overpaying at that point since it was such a nice piece in comparison with others from the lot.

Full rims, nice details in the eye, along with 3/4 of "LIBERTY" being readable. Compliments my collection quite well.

Dang, I need to build that sort of repertoire with a local shop. Now if only I could find a decent one *le sigh*.

I probably would have overpaid too. Barbers in that kind of condition are not easily had in my neck of the woods. And though I did just buy something one Ebay, I do feel just a bit paranoid making a deal over the internet; especially with things in what is supposed to be such good condition.

Hmmm, I thought Barbers only came in 3 grades: slick, cleaned and expensive.

    You're analysis is correct.

I actually hate the look of cleaned barbers. Makes me sick. I see so many crappy ones that I'm willing to pay more just to have a nice one.
