I picked this up in a 20th century type set on Ebay, how would you grade it ? Scan002.jpg Scan003.jpg

If there is no wear on the sheild on the reverse, then it is UNC!!!

An amazing find coming from one of those type sets. I have never seen a barber quarter that was MS+ in those type sets. Usually they are polished to death. sweet....

Since I live in Dallas I am going to take it to Heritage and have them submit it to the PCGS I think they just might get a better grade than if I sent it myself...... if shows more detail than some of the MS66's on their website.

Keep us posted. Looks 65 at least to me. Seems to be a ton of luster as well.

Heritage is a great place to start with this coin. You'll get the most money consigning with them as they have the most recognition and exposure to collectors.

The Ebay picture was fuzzy and the set included a MS65 1916 Buffalo as well, not a bad deal for $85 last fall.

Yup, that's why I keep going back. :) I've surely never made out that well, though!

The only "problem" I see is a few marks on the field. MS63 in my opinion.

    MS-63 cleaned

there is black gunk on both sides. evidence of an old cleaning IMHO.
