Hi Everyone, Just got an email from Panda America (www.pandaamerica.com) that due to "exploding demand" China will be minting more gold & silver Pandas for 2011. I already got my silver Panda for this year so this news doesn't really affect me. Will anyone be buying more Pandas because of this additional mintage? Silver Mintage 2011 Current 3,000,000 New Mintage 6,000,000 A doubling of the mintage!!
I'm bumping an old thread, because I was looking for information on the panda coins. I have one from 2009. I like it, i was thinking about getting more, but the bump in numbers does concern me. I know one shouldn't buy just because they think it will skyrocket in value. And I usually only buy coins that I like, but this does concern me. Thanks for posting the numbers. I saw a lot of different ones from 300,000 to over a million. I didnt know how many were being produced.
