Here is a coin I picked up this past weekend. this is definitely not a coin you see often and I wanted to share. She has a few hairlines but that is typical for the 63 grade.

I saw the title to the thread and said to myself, "Leadfoot, that's not a coin you see very often." Come to think of it, I can't recall seeing a CAM 20 cent proof before, but then again, it's not a coin I follow in any way shape or form. Nice coin.

Tell me, are they commonly found with cameo? I would suspect so, as the proof quarters and halves are often found that way in and around this date, but not sure about the 20 cent-er.

    Neat coin, Matt.

Your coin is fantastic! I collect coins dated 1876, therefore making your coin more enticing! Congratulations on your new addition to your collection.

From what I can tell it does seem that the cameos are relatively common for this coin. It looks like a standard PF63 is in the $3,000-$3,200 range. A cameo looks to be in the $3,500-$3,600 Range and a Ultra Cameo is in the $3,700-$3,900 range. The small increase from cameo to UC I think indicates that they are relatively common in cameo.

I actually had 2 of these in my hand. This coin and a PCGS PF62 Cameo that one of my customers was wanting to move. The 62 is not nearly as nice... it has what I call a "rubber band burn" on the obverse. We were able to come to terms on this coin.. but he kept the other one.

Ok, I know this is off topic but every time my eyes glance past this thread I see "1976 Camaro Proof.", and then I think "When did Chevy make a proof Camaro? Ohhh 18746 Cameo! Duhhhh". Sorry...but I'm hungry and going mad over here.

    Mmmmmm, nice!
Not the sort of item I would collect but I can certainly appreciate it.

I looked it up in the CDN.
I'm always surprised by the value of a proof vs. a business strike in the same grade during that time period.
    Proofs always seem undervalued.
    I guess it's supply/demand economics.
