Has anyone seen this before. The inscription reads "Hoyle" and has a guy playing cards.

Nice find. Hoyle of course is the founding father of the game and rules of poker. Many of these tokens were given to customers when they purchased a deck of playing cards.

I have contacted someone who may be able to provide some more information for you about these Tokens. I'll let you know when I have further information.

I would say it first appeared some time right around the turn of the century, when Brown & Bigelow purchased the rights. So probably early 1900's. I'm still waiting for an answer, from someone who possibly knows more about these.
