I'm not sure what I have here. I just found it in an old collection in my attic and it piqued my interest. It is approximately the size of a dime. Anything you can tell me about this coin would be greatly appreciated. I apologize in advance for the poor picture quality.

I had a feeling it was worthless but I figured I should ask people who knew more about coins than I do. Thank you for the help!

If interested, there plenty of authentic and inexpensive ancient coins out there.

I would be interested in hearing how old a collection included these. They are the most common fake seen in the last 5 years or so (maybe 10?) but I'd not expect it in an 'old' collection. Does anyone know when they started making these?

Well, we moved into this house in early '96 so it's at least around 15 years old. Most of the other coins from the collection are from the 40's and 50's. I guess I should be more careful with subjective words like "old" in a forum like this.
