Hehe, No I did not trade her for the Morgan... She picked up a 1881 S Morgan (Raw but about MS60-63) offa e-bay... Why, I dunno, shes not that big on Morgans, she like Paper or Notes better and coins that are newer and more shiney... I think she just bought it because she heard me and our daughter talking about them... So anyway, I gave her a 2006 AE that I got for $4.95, a 2006 1 oz Silver Canadian Maple $11.00 and two Uncirculated 2005 Half dollars 1P and 1D... Before we traded, I told her the Morgan was worth more than tother other coins as I didn't want her to feel ripped off... She said she didn't care, she like the other coins better... She was happy and so was I...
Can I ask where? How many can I get? That rocks. :hail: But seriously, I sort of got my wife into collecting, it is a great way to spend time together. She collects Wheat cents, Ike dollars, and Mercury dimes. Before she met me she only hoarded wheaties, in a big jar. After we got together and spent time talking about coin collecting and going through my collection, books, magazines and stuff, she now is putting together actual sets of the wheaties in whitman folders, looking through her coins and finding the best grade of each year/mm, and is even considering purchasing a lower grade 1909 S VDB. Just curious, was your GF into coins before you, or is that your fault?
I got the AE from some offer where I had to call and listen to 10 minutes of Babble, then we got down to business and placed my order (costing only shipping), then 15 more offers of ""But, Sir, we think this is a great deal, let us send you a ________ for 39.95"..... Na,..... She was kinda into coins mostly into old notes... She has like 4 or 5 Mint Sets and 2 or 3 Proof sets, she got before me.... One day, not too long go, I meantioned liking and collecting coins and she was like I didn't know you collect coins... We had several long conversations about Numismatics and since then we have both been hetting more active and picking stuff up... We got our daughter into it too... Tonight after a 6 mile (worn out) bike ride, we were sitting at the Dinning room table, filling holes in the Whitmans with the needed Wheaties and Roosevelts..... Good Family fun....
