1817 Large Cent 15 Star

    I was wondering if anyone has the answer to how many 1817 Large Cent 15 Star's where minted? I know there was 3,948,400 1817 were minted but can not find the 15 star answer! Are they that rare?

    They are not very scarce but they are popular so they sell for more than another variety of similar rarity would sell for.

    Post a pick if you can. The grading books for large cent varieties is based on a different grading system then other coins, so without seeing a picture, at a minimum, it's very hard to tell if you did okay.

    It's a neat variety, so neat that the price is more than one would expect (as Conder noted). It's a coin I've always wanted, and would very much enjoy pictures if you can. :)
