I have recently bought several lots of un-searched foreign coins on ebay. I've found a few things that were worth a few dollars, such as a 1955 10 fils piece from Jordan and a 10 piastres piece from Lebanon. The one thing I wonder is how people happen to come across 100s of pounds of foreign coins, and where I can find a huge lot of assorted foreign coins. Thanks in advance

SWThirteen Needs a 24/7 Coin Shop

Most coin shops will have a box of foreign coins you can search for. My local shop sells them 7 coins for a dollar regardless of what you pick. My brother has even found foreign silver worth several dollars. If you want them in bulk, ebay might be better.

everything I hear about these coin shops sound awesome. To bad I really dont have one. I have a pawnshop and another place, but the pawnshop never has anything since it focuses on other things like guns etc, and the other place only buys silver. Its one of those places you take your gold and silver to and sell em.

Often in the classifieds section of coin world, I see ads for people selling bags of foreign coins. Usually it's by the pound. I have no idea what shipping and handling is like or if they have been sorted, but it might be worth a try.

thanks everyone for the info. I will have to check the travel agency, That might work. Is there anyway I can access the coin world classifieds or something similar for free?
