cleaned?

    Definitely cleaned in some form, but doesn't appear to be harshly so. I can't tell if there are any directional abrasions, but it looks like someone did at some point try to remove the dark "gunk". Could be a lot worse. Detail looks great on that coin, I'd pay around $40.00 for it myself.

    Seems like it was dirtier in the past, unless it is some crazy selective patina. IMHO cleaned and without doubt worth more than $50.

    I have to disagree with the others, I think it was harshly cleaned. Value would be approx 20-50% of what a problem free example would be.
