    I just got this coin today, how can I tell if it is a silver coin or a clad coin?

    If it wasn't for the light spots in the fields both sides, it would be PR69D/C CAM, but it's PR68 D/C Cam.

    Look at the edge, if you see copper inside of the nickle, it's clad, if it is all silver colored it's silver.

    Ok thanks for the help. It is for sure a clad coin. You can see the copper color around the rim. That is some very valuable info. Thanks again.
