I recently bought an Unc 1996W Rosie for $14.50. from what I could gather they go for $12-25. This seemed a little steep but I went for it as I don't have this year and mint. Hope I did not get taken but if I did then I got bad information. Regardless was just wondering. Even if I paid a little too much it still wasn't by a lot. thanks!
Seems about right. It's been awhile since I bought one but I think my last one cost me about 10 dollars or so. Once I had three I sort of lost interest in that W mint mark. Congrats on the new dime purchase though!
Low uncirculated price range, from numismedia.com, is between $9 for a 60 up to $17.25 for a 63. Not a bad price.
Like the other posters said, not a bad price. You can, however, buy the whole mint set for that price on the bay if you're persistent. You keep the dime and spend the other $1.82.
Here's a couple recent examples of my post above. http://cgi.ebay.com/1996-Mint-Set-i...95?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item3f0bfbd0bb http://cgi.ebay.com/1996-MINT-SET-R...88?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item19c72f4080
After reading this I double checked my 96 Unc set and, as I thought, whom ever I bought it from before had removed the W Dime. The anniversary card was there but no dime. Did not occur to me to look for a whole 96 unc set, guess I could have saved a buck or two. Eh, it's ok I may still look for a complete set with the dime just to make it complete, guess I am OCD like that lol. Thanks to everyone for their comments.
Pcgs price guide is listed below.but I seen a MS-68 go for far less than Pcgs pg has it listed for. Roosevelt Dimes are one over looked set and maybe a sleeper set. I know the 1950-1965 Pr-67+ Deep Cameo are.to me:kewl: http://www.pcgs.com/PRICES/PriceGuideDetail.aspx?MS=1&PR=1&SP=1&c=98&title=Roosevelt+Dime
I would hate to burst ya'll's bubbles but I bought the entire 1996 Mint Set for $10, and that's not a lie. The '96-W dime has always been a nice little prize.
And, I've also got some NOT ALWAYS CORRECT GRADED SLABS that say NGC and PCGS on them ... does that make us any different ... inquiring minds want to know your answer. NO slabbing company is perfect ... NONE.
I can hear the BOOM here already ... I own NACGS and am proud of it ... instead of stapling a coin in a 2x2 and marking it MS68FB (self poorly housed cardboard slab) we house it in a regular slab and mark it the same way with a nice label. It PROTECTS the coin and tells you what our 4 seasoned Coin people believe the coin to be. Are we perfect ... ABSOLUTELY NOT ... is PCGS and NGC perfect ... ABSOLUTELY NOT. I own several NGC & PCGS slabs that IMHO are wrongly graded and/or wrongly marked. Ever hear the word amongst dealers at a coin show saying ... 'that's a bust out coin' ... what do you think they are talking about ... of course, they think the coin is WRONGLY graded. I'm proud of our company and will match grades with ANY of the so-called BIGGIES. Peace to all
