Once in a blue moon, I'll run into a US coin or two like these that are priced at jaw-dropping levels here in Japan. The dealer had graded the '36 as a VF and the '43 as an EF+, and had used an old Redbook to price them!

I just bought this PCGS MS66 1947 Roosevelt Dime. It's rare to find one with true rainbow color.

    I've got a '46 that's developing rainbow colors.

The color is coming on your '46. I wonder what caused the spotting?

I don't think the 1947 was cleaned. The 46 has some spots and some green, while maybe not cleaned something got on the coin. Maybe just moisture from humidity, not sure at this point. Just my humble opinion.

1840 with rev 1839 sm letter

I just picked this one up over the weekend.1840 seated half with the reverse of the 1839. I am sure it been cleaned but not highly polished. it will fill one of the 3 for the 1840 now I just need the 1840 w/rev of 39 large letter.as this is small letter I only seen 2 other 1840 w/rev 1839 large letter and both were MS-63 & the other one was MS-66 & both were too far out of my coin buying budget. this one was $50.00 @ that price I could not pass it up.

This coin ends an over 10 year search to finish a 4 piece set of multi-denominational clashed die coins. The other three are Flying Eagle cents. I picked it up from Rick Snow and the images are his.

Nice proof Indian. Just got e-mail confirmation from ANACS that my 1895 will be back PR63. I have a 1905, 1898 and the new 1895 in proof!

I picked a 1905 about 5 years ago on eBay. Huge mistake...didn't know what I was doing and I ended up with a raw cleaned and stripped widget.Love the clashes Larry. You should throw in a couple 3 centers in the group. They're always good for clashes.
