I called this teller back on Monday or Tuesday and explained to her my theory that there still may be "older coins" in the vault. I asked her nicely if there was any way she (or someone) could check the vault. She said she would check and buy the rolls and keep in her drawer. I am trying not to get my hopes up too much but I've scored 2 or 3 full rolls of silver from this bank over the last few months so I am excited. Either way, I'll be bringing her some candy for the dimes I got from her last week.

That's the guy that's going to ruin the ordering of halves for you at that bank. Soon you'll probably get charged a fee or be limited in how much you can order. If I'm the bank and someone cashes in halves and then orders halves I would just hand them back the original halves. I do however have the luxury of having banks with coin counters here.....but I DON'T order the halves from them.

Edit: Sorry, reread this and saw it's your dump bank. But my point of ruining the ordering of halves stills stands.

 

Merc - I just got back from St. Louis late last night. It has been this hot there since I got there on Monday. As a result I got no CRH'ing in so far this week. Will be picking up some halves today! Good Luck.

I need to ask ..... what does "CWR" stand for?

 

CWR = Customer Wrapped Rolls (folded ends)
BWR = Bank Wrapped Rolls (crimped ends)

 

33 rolls of dimes last night....managed 1 - 1954 Roosie in VF20/VF30.
Searched $350 this week for this one dime....Geez

Today is going to be brutal for CRHing. I hope you have good AC in your ride because your going to need it man. I was thinking of making a couple stop on my lunch break but man it's already 92 and about as humid as it can get. For sure this is the worst day of the year so far. Finding silver would make it all worthwhile, I'm such an addict.

what do you think of this 1992 that I found in a box yesterday? Did I finally find an error? I was searching them for CAMs. It's got a die crack, gouge, whatever you want to call it running diagonally from the bottom of the memorial to the rim.

Picked up a box of dimes on my lunch break....at least it's not solid 2011 so I'm pleased about that. There was no way I wanted to search it in the car, too hot even with AC full blast.

Was at my bank yesterday and as my transaction ended I ask the teller for halves. Lo and behold he had $13 of them.
Bought them all and found three 40%'ers. That was as much as I got out of three full boxes in the beginning of this year.
Perserverance pays off.
