I have a quick question. Is the 1989 Koala 1 oz. Silver considered an independent bullion round or an government sanctioned issue like a Lunar? Here is the Koala I'd purchased a few days ago. Lovely coin either way.

    Thanks
    Ben

From what I could find on Google the New Queensland Mint was a business name used by Continental Coin Co of CA. They went broke in the 90s.

Ben,I am a very active collector of coins & banknotes from across the entire true British Commonwealth,so the Hutt River Province Principality's coins really interest me.I have been offered very few of them, however,& none of them silver though.

There are several 'like' specimens on ebay even as I type and they aren't much more than MELT in cost. Some exact copies of the one in the picture.
