I got this back in change today. It is the first thing I have found in a while.lol I know this isn't really worth more than a buck, especially in the condition it is in, but I really like star notes for whatever reason and I thought the serial was cool. Thanks. -Greg
I'm jealous of your find. I have yet to get a 2009 star note in circulation, or at the bank for that matter.
I'd be excited about it. I like star notes as well. I found two 2006 star notes in change a couple of months ago in the same week. I don't know much about paper money though. But I hold onto them regardless.
Great circulation find, and cool serial number too. I have a friend that found these in a pack of 100. I can't believe how hard they are to find, seeing that they were printed in January. 2009 Chicago $1 Star notes
I'm with you Steve, I can't find ANY 2009 stars in circulation. I'm about to shop around feebay here soon.
Ask your bank for $100. in $2. bills and you'll be surprised on how many star notes you can find. I have found so many I stoped asking for more because they started looking common to me. That $1. star note the OP found is nice though. The serial number is a good one too.
Today I found this crisp uncirculated 2009 Boston district star note in a $100 BEP strap of NY district notes.
