It shouldn't have been so hard for you to search these out yourself. Here's a bunch for under $300, but they'll likely go up before the auctions end. http://cgi.ebay.com/1877-INDIAN-HEAD-CENT-VERY-SCARCE-OLD-COIN-/330588974459?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item4cf8a36d7b#ht_500wt_1156 http://cgi.ebay.com/1877-Indian-Head-Cent-Graded-ANACS-AG3-Details-/190555010294?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item2c5df6b4f6#ht_2056wt_881 http://cgi.ebay.com/1877-INDIAN-CENT-ANACS-GD-4-DAMAGED-BOLD-DATE-NR-/230647531414?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item35b3aa0796#ht_500wt_898 http://cgi.ebay.com/1877-U-S-Indian-Head-Cent-Almost-Good-/250856423475?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item3a68354033#ht_500wt_665 http://cgi.ebay.com/1877-KEY-Indian-Head-Cent-G-VG-Nice-Rare-Coin-N-R-/200631180662?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item2eb68cdd76#ht_500wt_898 http://cgi.ebay.com/1877-Indian-Cent-KEY-DATE-Great-Coin-/130549004249?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item1e6553b7d9#ht_2425wt_881 http://cgi.ebay.com/1877-1c-INDIAN-HEAD-CENT-KEY-DATE-RARE-SCARCE-/330589515957?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item4cf8abb0b5#ht_683wt_881 http://cgi.ebay.com/RARE-1877-1C-Indian-Head-Penny-NGC-Good-Bent-/270784099936?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item3f0bfd7660#ht_2769wt_754 http://cgi.ebay.com/1877-INIDAN-HEA..._Individual&hash=item2565ac5ee0#ht_2981wt_952
My personal preference is go with a slabbed coin rather than a raw one, especially if your buying it off of e bay. You could get lucky and strike a genuine raw one, but I wouldn't take the chance. Plus, if you buy one that's already slabbed, you wouldn't have to worry about paying anything for grading since it's already slabbed.
I have an 1877 PCGS AG3 for $450. Would happily sell though ebay with safe electronic payment accepted. 2127.03/19307351
I believe the top coin is a fake. The serifs in the "e"s on the reverse are wrong for shallow N variety. they should look more like a "T" rather than a trumpet. Anybody else see that? As for the bottom coin.....stay away too. No way to tell if it is real or not. All indicators are gone. I dont think it will even be slabbed as a genuine or details coin.
