I was just wondering if anyone knew of any good research books that show diagnostics for coins or any info on die pairs etc.

I see some books that touch on the subject including "pcgs coin grading and counterfeit detection". That book is good, but very vague. It only shows a few key dates etc. I would just like a more in depth study. I would certainly appreciate anyone who could point me in the right direction.

No single book will have what you want. For the detail you are asking for (die pairs) you will need to narrow your request to a denomination and a series (e.g., Morgan Dollars, CBHs, Mercury Dimes, etc.).

Yea I know and do not expect everything in one place. Just looking for any or multiple suggestions on the topic.

The books you are talking would fill several pages because there are several writtten for every series of coin. If you narrow your question down to specific series, then you will get specific answers.
