I never seen a 1947 nickel. Is it worth anything? Thanks!

Alex, It's worth 5 cents and they are not as uncommon as you would think. Good luck and keep looking! For Jefferson's 38SorD, 39D, 42-45 war nickels and 50D are the ones (keys) you want to find in decent condition. They will have a little premium worth concerning yourself about. There are some others, but condition becomes more important.

Possible error on one of the nickels

On the front of one of the 1947 nickels, the T in Liberty has a crack on it or it is a mark with a crack below the T. I'm not sure. Just wanted to state that.

Looks like it might be a minor issue with the planchet but again it is a common date in not so good condition so the minor error/issue would not bring any real premium in my opinion. It is good to look at/for these types of issues so that when you look at au to mint state coins you will give them as much attention.

Props for awesome photos of your T question... rock on. Keep looking for those rare nickels!!! They're my favorite coin to collect.
