Personally, I don't think the coin will grade higher than AU-58 (there seems to be a little wear on the horn). It is a nice coin, but it probably wouldn't be worth it to send it in for grading, in my opinion.

I believe the value of that coin would be from 15-25 dollars and would most likely grade an AU-53 and since its not a low mintage (About 14 million) I would say no because itll cost you atleast 30 dollars to get it graded with PCGS or NGC and any other company most people do not deal with like me but thats just my 2 cents 0.o

A 1936-S has to be have a chance at MS-65 before it would merit grading.
You have a nice coin but nowhere near MS-65.

    I second kanga's response.

Thats what I was looking for right there. So if the coin was an MS65 it would be wroth the effort to send in?

Yep - 65 or so would be worth it. Still you have a very nice coin there.

Thanks, yeah I like it and was not going to send it in but just wanted to get some feedback and you hit the nail on the head that was the kind of info I was looking for. Let me ask something else if you dont mind. I got two coins on the way one is a 1956 Washington Quarter and the other is a 1963 Washington. One is a BU and the other is a Proof. What is the difference? They look the same to me. If you want I can PM the links to you so you can see. Thanks again

The method of manufacture is the different. In hand you should easily be able to tell the difference in a proof and a business strike. Proof coins are made from highly polished dies.

Just thought of something - you should join heritage coins. You can search their archives and see what proof quarters and business strike(ms graded) quarters look like. It is free to join and a good place(in my opinion) to get coins.

Here are a proof and an uncirculated quarter for comparison (proof on the left, unc on the right):
