The following are some coins I picked up at the flea market for quite cheap. All appear silver...but I like to verify. I recognize a few Arabic countries, but this I've not seen before. I could spend a few hours looking them up...or ask for some expert opinions. Appreciate your help!
i know that the bottom right is from thailand. im not sure about the other two. im not very familiar with foreign coins
Top one is Egypt year 1327 AH reignal year 6, if I do my math right that's 1914 in western dates. Looks like a 5 Qirsh, 7.4 million minted, .1875 ASW .835 silver
The bottom left one has me stumped, I see an arabic date of 1352Ah or 1933AD. The other side seems to show a value of 1, but I don't see an indication of a country?
The coin on the left is a fantasy 1 Dinar coin supposedly issued for Yemen. The date is AH 1352 (AD 1933). Made at the Vienna Mint in 1965 by somebody named Bernard O'Hea, whoever he is. They were made in a variety of metals, including silver. Not much is known about these "coins" but they do turn up from time to time. I have one: Diameter 23mm, metal appears to be aluminum-bronze or brass.
Hey, thanks guys - as soon as you said Thailand I thought, "Duh!" That last one...I kept looking at it thinking that it had certain elements that were familiar as I searched...but nothing exact ever stood out. I believe the copy I have is silver, proof-like...but I got it with about 25 other silver coins for $25 ($85 worth of silver in the entire group) so I'm not too worried about it being silver or not silver... Thanks again!
