1943-P Steel Cent - Circulated unfortunately

    Found this circulated 1943-P Lincoln steel war today:

    Probably not worth certifying due to the condition. Your thoughts anyone?

    No, these coins are not rare by any means but are cool coins to hang onto, the only way there values goe over $5 is in MS grades, nice find though.

    Interesting piece. Although, it does not look to have been circulated for too long. Hair details (head and beard) look strong on the obverse and the wheat ears on the reverse look sharp. Is the lustur as muted as the scans show? Judging by what is infront of me at the moment, If you're lucky, you could get fifty cents for it. :)

    This particular coin is much brighter (luster) than the scan shows. Much more luster than the other '43 it was found with (see below).


    The'43 (pictured below) looks as if it was put in the ground for safe keeping.

    It looks like a powder-coated copper penny.
