I would appreciate any help identifying this coin. I appologize for the lack of image quality. It is approximately the size of a dime. The front has a profile of a figure with a crown . The reverse pictures a standing figure and writing around the edges that is worn so that I can't make the characters out. Thanks!

My guess is Gallienus with reverse Abundentia Avg.

I agree with both of them. For further detail, it's Roman, and the minting date would be sometime during the emperor's reign, so it was made at some point between 253-268. The denomination is called an antoninianus by modern collectors, though we don't really know what it was called in antiquity. It was originally a mostly silver coin, but by this point, inflation and debasement had rendered the denomination mostly copper. It had the value of 2 denarii.
