I have a framed coin collection from WWII it was my grandfathers who served. It has 3 steel cents from 1943, 9 pennies from 44-45, 12 nickels from 42-45, and two coins one with truman and one with roosevelt on it. Any knowledge of what I have would be greatly appreciated.

    Welcome to the neighborhood!

The wartime nickels with the large mintmark (P, D or S) over the dome of Monticello are 35% silver and contain .05626 oz. There are some of these that you'll want to check for varieties: 1943P 3 over 2 date; 1943P Doubled Eye; 1945P Doubled Die Reverse.

Truman isn't on any coin that was produced during WWII.

It's impossible to give you accurate market value for that collection as a whole or for any individual piece, without actually seeing the coins in-hand or at the very lease a really good photo of each piece, obverse and reverse. Taking a guess, what you may have is a commonly framed WW2 set. But than again, maybe not.
