A minor dilemma

To start things off, everyone who knows m collecting tastes knows that I tend to collect world coins. American never really caught my interest because they cost money, and I haven't gotten much since I started collecting at the age of 10. However, I recently changed my attitude toward paper money from "deffinately not" to "on occasion" This was done by finding a $2 note at the register.

Well, I cashed a paycheck recently and got a noticably odd $5 note (I can tell because I'm a cashier :p)
It's nothing special except that it's 1963 series and in great condition considering it's in circulation. There are the typical wrinkles and a bend in the center, but no folds which disturb the print or tears of any sort.

Any "normal" person would likely spend it without a second thought, but I've held onto it for the time being simply because I haven't seen one before. I guess I wanted some input before bidding it farewell.

If I were you, I would keep it.

I keep all of the old style notes. You can only fetch a few $1-2 for it. Sorry!

Well, in part based on this feedback, I removed it from my wallet and put it with the rest. After all, will likely become even more of an oddity as time goes on.

    According to what? I'm curious, I have a 1993 $20, 1969-C $10 and 1981 $50 bill.

    Ye-es.
