A co-worker came across this today and asked if I wanted it. It's in great condition for it's age, if only that crease wasn't there and the corners were sharp.. The paper is ultra crisp and really clean. I also snagged some various 1950 $50's and a couple of 1934 $50's. John
Real nice catch! That crease isn't bad at all. Keeper for sure! Glad you have it in a sleeve! If only they had sleeves back in the late 1800's CU would be cheaper, and not only the rich could enjoy Gem quantity notes! However alot of my really old notes smell like a library - meaning kept in a book LOL better than nothing I guess... With a crisp note, only a severe crease across the portrait turns me off. So you did good! BTW: Regardless I have plenty of low grade rearities that are creased to heck & back. But not many can say I have one of only 2k known! Hey works with the old lady
Y'alls are looking at that note on top, while I am seeing the Series 1963 $100 Star from the SF FRB in the background - worth much more than the 1934.
It's a 1950D $100 L Star, already in my possession. I know it's worth quite a bit more, however I decided to not keep it but rather sell it to fund keeping the other notes.
But Notes ff-topic:Here some new BEP item you my like??? :kewl: http://www.coinnews.net/2011/07/12/bep-offers-series-2009-5-uncut-currency-sheets/
