Yesterday I mentioned the Ebay auction for a medal that had both no returns accepted and also had a two week time span for the person to send it. I had bid on this last week before I began to try slow down everything. I did not get it because the person had a reserve bid, but he has come back with an offer.
The e=mail I sent was what follows:
"Just want to ask you if you would be willing for me to return the medal, and to send the medal within the next week. If you are prepared to do this, I will accept the 112.50 offer. I would not send it back as long as the medal is genuine.
Thanks

This has become a mute point now. He seems to have been offended by my being careful, and took away his offer. Maybe it is better anyway. I spend too much and need to stop.

"Moot" point not "mute".

You are probably better without it. "No returns" is usually a warning sign. If it's a nice piece the seller should accept a return.

As for the shipping time, well, two weeks is just silly. Move on.

Thanks for your reply. I read his reply to the message I sent him. I felt badly that he was offended. I was just trying to find out if I could trust him or not. The things he wanted were a little strange. It is sad though the medal was a nice centennial medal.

Agreed - no returns is a "skip it auction" for me. There are others that use paypal and a credit card, which allows you to return.
