Were all 2005-2010 JFKs satin finish?

I was just thinking about my JFK set, and I was wondering about the 'satin years'...

Since the coins were not made for circulation, were all of them satin finish, or was there a way to get brilliant business strikes?
Part of me wants to add business strikes to my 2005-2010 coins. I filled my collections by using mint sets, and I feel it might be
a wise move to get the same coins over in brilliant business strikes as well.

Another question about satin issues while I have your attention:
Was it only the 5c, 10c, 25c, and 50c coins that were satin?
I look at my cents and dollar coins from those years, and they look like normal business strikes.

The Kennedys were issued in rolls from the mint for those years as circultion coins I still have some fo the rolls. Same is true of the dollars. In fact all of the circultions coins were issued during those years and Satins finish were made for the Mint sets only.
There has been much discussion of worn satin finish dies may have been reused for circulation coins but no ones knows if this is fact or fiction.
BTW circulation coins were released earlier in the year for those years than the mint set release of Satin finish coins so some bought their curculation coins before the mint set release date too keep from being snookered.

So, the halves in the rolls (even though only released to collectors) are brilliant as opposed to satin?

Also, I thought the satin finish came from the blanks used, not the dies... ???

It sounds like you are saying ALL the coins in the mint sets were satin, not just the clads?
The dollars and cents don't look satin to me. ??? I have compared them side by side with business strikes.

The JFK half has not been released to circulation for several years. If memory serves, since 1998.
Yes, they sold collector rolls way above face, but no circulation releases at face for many years.

The Satin Finish was attained by Polishing the dies by sand blasting them with glass beads and all the coins where done that way. When the dies started wearing the Satin was less promient on some coins but they did not mix the coins in the sets with circulation coins.

These rolls are circulation strike bright finish coins and they were also available in bags.

I have an Uncirc. satin finish set with a Kennedy half that looks like a business strike. The finish is shiny and the planchet has an even distribution of metal (Cu) streaks. I have saved it since it looks pretty interesting.

No you can buy the orignal strike from the mint but you have to buy atleast a roll.I filled my kennedy with satin finish from ment sets.I bought just the kennedys from a dealer on ebay to keep from me breaking into one of my mint sets

The bu are different than the satin. The satin finish halves came from the mint sets the bu came from mint sold bags and rolls. imho a set schould have the additional 12 bu coins to be complete.

I am probably going to seek out the business strikes on an individual basis.
I have bought all the coin rolls from the mint since they went NFC, but I
don't want to break open each roll to get one coin out.

As for my 'set', I broke open mint sets and distributed the coins into Danscos,
so the 'set' has the satins. A couple of my JFK satins have contact marks though. :(
