Real nice 67 for my album, I will take pictures of both sides when I get it.
Was assured by seller the other side is just a problem free.
    Any guess on a grade?

It has good detail, but what looks like damage at 12 o'clock is going to hurt the grade I think.

Acually, looking at it again, I think it is a slight MAD (not adding to the value) and it is the plastic that is making it look damaged. I agree with Taylor on the MS-63.

    MS details - rim damage.

63 if that's not damage on the rim between 12 and 1 o clock , which I think is just a fold in the plastic , if not it shouldn't grade .

I would grade it 62 or 61, with the limiting factor being the rim ding.

If the rim ding is really the plastic of the 2x2 distorting the edge, I'd grade it 63.

I suspect you're right about the "rim ding" actually being the plastic of the 2x2. That having been said, if there really is a rim ding, the grade is irrelevant. This coin is worth bullion unless it's both Mint State and problem free.

To the OP -- keep in mind that uncirculated '67 Kennedys are pretty common. If you have a chance to get out to a coin show or coin shop, it may be a better idea to buy a coin you've seen in hand.

I think when you get it you will find that is is a Special Mint Set coin. Just a little too clean to of been a circulation coin probably a SP64 or so. Impossible to grade without seeing both sides.

    Without seeing the reverse, 61.

It's bad enough that you would buy a raw coin without photos of both sides, but it's even worse that you would take the word of someone whom you don't know. Why didn't the seller post images of both sides in the first place? I guess it would be okay to take the word of the seller if he was your grandfather, but.................

I'm gonna guess, Ms-64, but would probably get the details assignment.

Assuming that the "rim ding" is actually the plastic (maybe, maybe not), what I can assure you is that it is not close to a 67. With those nicks on his neck and chin, 64 maybe 65 at best.

I think when he said "67", he was refering to the date.
