Interesting Reeded Edge: 1845 8 Mexican Reales

Hi Folks,

Some coins arrived from Stacks Bowers today and I was interested to see
the reeded edge on my GoPM 1845 8 Reales. I'm attaching a photo taken
with my new camera (at last) through an eye glass. The coin weighs
27g and is in super shape.

It's very high grade. My congratulations. May I ask you how much does it cost? I want to compare the price in USA and Russia.

 

I don't mind saying that I got it for $224 including BP, etc. I don't actually know how much it might be worth if
I ever sold it on but maybe not much more as I think it's common. Nice to have though.

Is that what they call an engrailed edge?
