Hey guys I went to an auction yesterday and bought a book of Mercury dimes. It wasnt full nearly 3/4 full. Some of the dimes were out of place but after buying them I went home and analyzed them fairly closely and found a possible 1942/1-S coin. The top of the "2" has a point on the top and it looks like it may be the top of a "1". I took a couple pictures. One of the coin by itself and one with the possible error coin beside a 1942 non-error coin for comparison. I posted this here because for some reason the error coin forum will not allow me to post larger files of greater than 500kb. Sorry the qualities not so great but you can see the error i'm talking about. Thanks and let me know what you think about it and just to be on topic with the forum, what do you think it's worth.
I don't know if one exists for San francisco, and this link doesn't show a 42/1-S but there are some good pictures of the 42/41-P and 42/41-D Mercury dimes
