Yesterday at a flea market, I was looking thru a junk box of miscellaneous foreign coins and came across a 1950 UK Penny. My book says it has a low mintage (240,000). I don't have a camera to post a photo, but it is a solid XF condition example, very nice looking. Does anyone know its current numismatic value? (in cents or dollars, I found it here in the United States) Thank you.

Nice find, esp for the 1950! The 1950 has a higher mintage, but is rarer to find decent examples than 1951 (120,000).

Thans very much for the help, that's better than I thought. Not a bad find for 50 cents.

Yes, very collectable over here. An EF coin will easy fetch £10 - often more. Nice find.
