Yeah, that makes sense. From my understanding you have to be a high ranking Mason to have a full blown Masonic funeral, right? Because my Uncle Frank had one, and the Mason members attended in their robes and regalia. Furthermore, his funeral was held at one of their lodges. Supposedly he was a member for almost fifty years.

Again the CH on the fist one is the mark this is the usual form like a brand. the last one is a master mason token some lodges give out when the member completes the third degree (Master Mason degree)

You just need to be a master mason to get a masonic funeral. If you have only been a master mason for a week you get one . which is what happened with a member in my lodge. he was released from the hospital to be made a master mason.

the one on the left was given to my grandfather when he joined in the 1930s. he received the middle one some time later (before 1950). the silver colored one was given to my uncle. the only thing i've ever wondered about was the "c.c.c." of the middle one. i understand the others. amazing, considering i'm not able to join.

the 3rd degree is a master mason which normally only takes a year to get to. Some times faster I know some that have become master masons in a month or less.

 

In a year or less? That’s crazy…they must donate a lot of money to the lodge or something.

nope just the fees involved with joining. All the conspiracy theories are not even close to true. Freemasonry is just a fraternity nothing more.

There has been a lot about FreeMasons on Brad Meltzer's Decoded on History Channel-dispels many of the myths of conspiracies and the like. The episode about the missing Cornerstone on the White House and Capitol Building was very interesting!

Yeah I liked that one. My lodge has one of the stones from the capitol building from when it was remodeled.
