When I first started getting folders for my coins, I went with Littleton because that is what was a) first given to me and b) what a friend of mine had been using. Do any of you think one is better than the other? Most comments I see posted refer to Whitman and I have yet to see anything about Littleton. I would love to hear everyones thoughts on this.

I think littleton is multitudes better than the small blue whitman ones but my favorite is the h.e. Harris folders. You can get them on the whitman website but they hold the coins the best and look awesome IMO

I think another thing that got me into the Littleton folders was their green color. I think it looks sharp. I have most of my cent folders on display. I don't know, the green just screamed "money" to me I guess.

Edit: As for the H. E. Harris folders, my dealer keeps those in stock, as well as the Whitman, but still I have always liked the look of the Littleton folders. Plus they cost just about the same.

I think the Library of Coins are from the 50's and have PVC and sulphur. For your question, I prefer whitman. I find it very hard to put the coins in the HE Harris folder.

How about the Intercept shield, I got a few and really like them(nice little tab to pull out the clear cover to insert coins) and they are Green. I was under the impression that they were the best album for storage?

Oh absolutely, those types of folders are quite likely the best way to store and display your coins, but they are typically more expensive then the small folders. I like buying the small regular folders and spending more money on coins. That is just my opinion though. I have a tighter budget for coins these days with my kids getting older.

^^Yeah, my budget is tight too. I have a few of the Littleton folders to go along with my Whitmans. They were given to me. I like them a little better than the Whitmans. I like to green color, too. Everthing seems to fit in them easily and correctly. Some of my Whitmans have been a real 'pain' to get the coins in.

For common date, circulated coins, Littleton all the way. They look great and are good quality.

I personally like the Littleton folders better because coins will not fall out of the folders. Every time I put coins in my Whitman folders, the cardboard bends and the paper backing tears.
