Damaged Coins

Not sure if this is the appropriate forum, but I haven't seen a thread anywhere on damaged coins. I seem to find quite a few of them. Here are 2 that I found particularly interesting. Just thought I'd share them.

Looks like lamination to me. Looks like someone has used it as a pin cushion.

I agree. Makes you wonder sometimes.

 

I have looked through about 17,000 pennies. This is one of the worst I have ever seen.

 

Some (certainly not all) damaged coins just have added character, I think.

 

Yeah, kinda like veterans after serving in a war, or a crime victim, like they've saw....things....
