2006 Proof sets came today

They look pretty good. They have some weakly struck areas around the date and mint mark but otherwise they look O.K. Anybody else receive their set(s) yet?

You got yours already? Wow. I ordered mine on the first day and they haven't even shipped yet. My order is still "in process". You must have been on the reserve list, eh?

 

No I did not.

But I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

 

My order shows the set was sent out on March 20th, but I havent seen it in mail yet. Maybe it is waiting for me in my mail box as I type. I hope so.

 

That's fast. I have mine on subscription with the mint and it hasn't even shipped yet.

 

I buy 3 sets through subscription and they seem to get sent fairly promptly each year. Maybe that is the trick to getting them faster. I don't really know.

 

I just started my subscription this past December. Since February, the mint site has shown my order in progress but when I called the mint they siad it woudnt be shipped till June guess it will be a nice house warming gift for when I move to MO lol

 

Received a box from the mint today but won't know what it is untill I get off the road Friday. But I have something.

 

Mine was sent from Tenn on the 20th and it arrived in this mornings mail. Around here that is considered fast.:kewl:

 

I may order twice the amount that I want and return the bad ones.

 

I have a subscription for 2 Proof sets, but I haven't seen anything yet.... How can you tell if they shipped? I mean the number they send you is just a subscrption ID, not really an order number that can be tracked...

Also, a bit off topic, but Mint related, I finally, just got my 2 rolls (1 P an 1 D) of the new Nickels from the mint... I think I'm just gonna put'em up and not even open them...

 

Thanks for reminding me. I forgot to order mine yet. I usually get about 15 to 20 sets for Christmas presents so I'd better get moving before everyone else buys them all.

 

I have a subscription for one set. It shipped on the 21st and arrived on the 27th. I like the Nevada quarter ( excellent design and not too busy) and dislike the South Dakota (MT Rushmore doesn't work in the small area given to it). I think more thought could have been given to the Colorado quarter and I will always like the Nebraska quarter because the indians knew Chimney Rock as elk Penis Rock.

 

With a subscription, how do you tell when and if it shipped???

The Order #s I have are just for the Subscription Account, not for the product that ships out...

 

The Mint E-mails you when the order has been shipped and gives you tracking info for the Postal Service. The tracking info generally doesn't get updated until after you receive it but you can tell it has been shipped.

 

I agree about the state quarter designs some are nice and some make you go hmmmm lol I got a set of slabbed silver state quarters for 2006 for $15 not long ago mostly so I could say I had them. it was a great set tho, I cant complain.

 

Well, I just checked the status of my order on the mint website and my order has finally shipped. it is coming parcel post so I probably won't get it until next week. Maybe I will start a subsciption to 2006 silver set so I will get it faster.

Kinda OT, I wonder if they have a store at any of the mints where you can go buy stuff??? Also, can citizens go and tour any of the mints???

There's a Mint store here in Washington,D.C.,located inside of Union Station,but sometimes it's less hassle to just pick them up at my coin store (they buy them at the same store within 2 days of issue).
It costs about the same as ordering online and saves me gas money.
