1947 50 peso appraisal.

    I have this coin with a blemish on it, and I was wondering if it devalued the coin at all? Its been in a collection for quite some time and hasn't been touched for years.

    Not really, no. The coin, if genuine, even in BU condition is only valued just over bullion. It contains about 1.2 oz of gold - in todays market that's $679. If you tried to sell it you'd get about 10% less than that.

    By the way, it looks like somebody burned it with a torch to see if it was genuine.
