I found a nickel today in my grandmother's collection (hasn't been touched in over 25 years) The nickel is a little bigger and thinner than other nickels. The Monticello was stamped over Jefferson. The monticello is on the back, but there is what looks like melted silver covering part of it. Looking for any info on this find. Thanks

  6. Lincoln Cents

    Lincoln Cents Cents not pennies

That looks like a vice grip job (PMD). It happens when someone puts 2 coins in a vice grip and squeezes the coins together.
