I will tell you what I know about this coin and would like your thoughts as well.
Being from Southeast Louisiana (20 miles West of New Orleans)we celebrate Mardri Gras every year.
I received this coin from a coworker who's son loves to collect coins.I helped his son with his collection
and in return I was given this coin.
The story my coworker told me was his Dad owned a Machine Shop in the 70's & 80's.
He told me they made the dies and stamped these coins out in their shop.
He told me they made these coins for a Mardi Gras crew.
I believe it's made of silver and he told me it was made from silver from the sound it makes when I drop it on the counter.
This coin weights 30.2 grams and measures 1.550 in diameter,It also has the number 132 stamped on the edge.
I think it's a very cool coin and I love it.
Anyone else have any home made coins in their collection that they would like to share? coin obverse.jpg

I seen a lot of NASA coinage in Huntsville Alabama we have Marshall Fight Center/NASA space camp&The Space Museum .
but yours is one I have not seen. if you have more than one I sure the NASA Space Museum would like to add it to the display. I take some photo of one I got from my fatherinlaw that work for NASA 1960-1995.

Thanks Jello, this is the only one I have.
I can ask my co worker if he's willing to donate one.
I'm sure if he does have one it will be in better condition.
If he's not willing to donate one I may donate this one.
I think that would be great to have on on display.
