I can not tell by the pictures but a quick way to tell is if it is raised from the surface it is a die break. If it down in the surface it is usually post mint damage. The top one looks like a bag mark to me. That is where it was bumped by another coin.

I think it is a bag mark!

Both locations on the coin are raised. No bag marks at least not the spots I am pointing out.

If they are raised, then it is the result of a die scratch and not a die break. However, at least that top mark absolutely does not look raised. I cannot tell for the lower mark.

Ok so here are the extra pictures I said I would post regarding this 1 cent. Once again I am taking pictures with my iPhone so I do apologize if they are not the best. Thank you and hope I can get some answers to this one.

Possibly, you should wait or more advanced numismatists to chime in before accepting my answer.:smile

    rickmp Frequently flatulent.

My opinion based on the later pics.

Obverse: die scratches. Reverse: gas bubble.

From what I can make out, they are all "bubbles". i.e. plating separations.

Well, they will be raised on one side. Bag marks (especially heavy ones) will indent the coin some, then raise the other side. It's metal displacement. So if they are a valley with a hill (not technical term, i know), that's PMD.
