I love these quarters. These are the main coins that I plan to collect for the next ten years. I love each and everyone of them so far, and I think the mint is doing an excellent job with them. They're all so detailed, and I especially enjoy the band that goes around the parks - it's almost like a picture frame. My current favorite is the Grand Canyon. When you look at it, it seems almost like it keeps going and going. But it's just 3D (practically 2D) art The state quarters were cool, but they don't have nearly as good artistic value in my eye. What are you all's view on them? P.s- I'm sure there are many threads like this, but I haven't seen one since I've been a member of this fine forum.
The fact that it will be 10 years will be a lot less stressfull on our wallets! And give us something to look forward to!
I'm going to try to collect them. The ring looks like a picture frame, and I like how the words are engraved into it
I like displaying the new quarters, but the state quarters (even though I have 50/50 and 3/6 of them) I just don't want to display- I don't like them
I agree with you. I like all of the designs of the first 10 so far, except Hot Springs. It looks like a boiler or something. Also, I wish they could have kept the same look on the 5-ounce coins as the quarters, with the mirrored background and the frosty images. The quarters are beautiful, but I think the 5-ouncers are industrial. That's why I like them so much better than the big pucks.
Eh, the pucks have A LOT more detail. But still, the quarters are amazing. I didn't know that much detail could go into such a small area.
