    Took me long enough.

Here are the pictures of the buffalo nickel I found in my mom's change about two years ago.
I believe she actually got it in change from the coffee shop that used to be at the University that I now attend (not surprising why I chose it, eh?).

    here it is, nice 1930-S

Nice find! I can't remember the last time I got a Buffalo nickel in change. It had to be15 years ago or more. That coin does not have 75 year's worth of wear so it sat in a jar or in someone's collection for many years before being spent (possibly by a thief or by a child who only saw it as worth 5 cents).

I'd keep any Buff I came across, that's a no brainer.

    A legible date? Amazing find.

Its the only one I've come across too.

    Siver in change

I wonder if the quarters don't get spotted as often because the design is the same on clad and silvers?

Anybody conditioned to seeing Jefferson and Roosevelt would pick up on an indian / buff and a merc fairly easily.

This is disallowing the look and feel of silver.

At the risk of seeming like a dinosaur I can remember finding Liberty 5¢ in change when I was a kid. They weren't common but popped up every once and while.

    Thanks.

Any idea on the value of it?
Seems like about 3$ (based on Ebay)
