As some of you know I collect coin-related memoribilia of all types (medals, tokens, elongates, etc.) as a fun addition to my regular counterstamp and obsolete currency collections. These pieces, especially the medals, generally exhibit a high degree of craftsmanship in engraving and strike, and are very inexpensive unless struck in silver or some other precious metal. I rarely pay more than 4 or 5 dollars for a nice coin club or A.N.A. medal, and even less for a private issue token or encased coin from a dealer or collector. As a bonus many of the medals have a historic theme such as the illustrated one from the Lebanon Valley Coin Club. This club has issued many medals over the years, and each is well made and interesting. These issues not only provide exposure to the club, but also bring in some much needed revenue for them when they're sold. These two, and others, I bought at the Whitman show in Baltimore a couple of weeks ago and are of course past issues. I do make it a habit though of ordering new releases directly from a club when they become available. Many times they're advertised in Numismatic News, so I always check for any new releases when I get my paper. If anyone has any coin related materials they would like to share please post them. I hope you like these and thanks for looking.
