Hi all! I found a coin that has the "back" of a penny on one side and the "back" of a dime on the other. The dime is centered ok, but the penny is off centered a little. The coin is about 1/2 the thickness of a regular penny. I also have a penny that has a small image of JFK pressed into it. I haven't been able to find any information about either. Have any of you ever come across something like this? Thanks!
The cent/dime is a novelty/magican's coin and the Kennedy is a counter stamped coin. both happened after the coins left the mint and have minimal value Richard
Welcome to the forum! Magician coins are very popular and many cn be found in gag stores and catalogs. I use to see ads on the back of comic books in the ....ahem....1950s.
Thanks for the info! Thanks for the info.... so much for early retirment! ha ha Well, the kids think they are pretty cool anyway. Have a great day! Andrea
