I've only delt with one coin shop, he is the closest and I have no complaints. I collect IHC and buy rolls from time to time, this shop only sells IHC rolls in G-F grade is this common? Do other shops sell rolls in higher grades(of course paying a premium for the higher grade). Would it be worth buying bags of coins or would I still be looking at mostly lower grades. I do buy ungraded coins in 2x2's but like the thrill of finding a coin in a roll, for some reason the coin means more to me. Art

In my experience the local coin shop will sell you individual coins, plus rolls of whatever is available. I just don't think they have enough higher-grade inventory to put together rolls (those coins don't sit in the store for long.) Usually, the really nice stuff has a really short shelf life - so the chances of accumulating a great deal of them is very slim...

    Just my two cents~

    Art,

You didn't mention it, but did you ask the owner if he could get some rolls or bags of better grades for you?

BTW, yes, rolls of older coins in average circulated condition is a very common practice. There are no original rolls of the higher grade older coins available. And it's often more profitable to sell the higher grades individually.
